![]() Rivals of Aether: Definitive Edition is set to launch on Nintendo Switch and Steam in summer 2020. While this feature won’t be included in the Nintendo Switch version of Rivals of Aether: Definitive Edition, every other mode from the original game will be available, including 4-player online capabilities. Mod support was recently added to the PC version of Rivals of Aether, allowing players to share and download custom characters and stages to add to the game. Some of those characters will be familiar to fans of other major indie video game releases on the Nintendo Switch, with Shovel Knight of Shovel Knight fame and Ori & Sein from Ori and the Blind Forest being part of the roster. Lastly, even though I've played the game on my brother's pc, I still wanted to get it on switch due to the handheld features and I could care less about mods but the tether ball mode is cool.Nintendo Switch is already home to the foremost platform-based free-for-all brawler, Super Smash Bros. The only thing I wish was that the adventure mode could've been less confusing and more engaging but other than that, it's a great game. The characters have different moves too than the smash characters although some moves are the same. The game has unique mechanics like parrying instead of shielding and there's a no ledge grabbing either. Now, after some tweaks, fixes, balance changes, new alts, and overall polish, I think its okay. After a while, I decided to try and balance the character to make them more fair and viable. I love how it's like smash bros but different and unique too. (The original didnt work online, so I reuploaded it privately to play it online with my friends. Each character and each of its skills are different and have strong impact on a game. Instead of buying our original and guest character expansions separately, the game is now one complete package with everything included for 29.99. New features, modes, and extras are all bundled up with our full cast of characters from the entire span of Rivals' development. The interesting gameplay "features" that make Melee awesome to play are here and easier to achieve in Rivals. The Definitive Edition of Rivals of Aether is loaded with content. The depth you can have during a fight make me realize (and understand) why Smash Ultimate is shunned by many pro players. All of this make a game blazing The best indie platform fighter ever made.
